A computer program, written by programmers tells a computer what to do. These instructions provide information to identify and access, how to process information, and what equipment to use. Programs vary widely depending upon the type of information to be accessed or generated.
Some simple programs can be written in a few hours. Other programs may be complex which contains mathematical formulas. Other programs may require more than a year’s worth of work. In most cases, several programmers work together as a team under a senior programmer’s supervision.
